Request for proposals Maintenance of Bowers and Butternut

 

If interested, please submit a proposal for work as detailed below, to be carried out within the period of July 1st 2024 through June 20th 2025 for Bowers Springs and Butternut Conservation Areas.

 

 

These are, first and foremost, Conservation properties that are maintained as fields and forested areas, while allowing for Trail use, and reducing invasive species throughout the property.

The proposal should incorporate the goals of the conservation commission and the following:

• Spring Mowing (Do not disturb fields between May 15 and August 15 - No mow period)

• Fall Mowing Spot-mow/mechanically or manually treat (no chemicals) Poison Ivy and Bittersweet areas along with other invasive Species

• Winter brush/tree clean up

 

Please keep items listed separated with associated cost within your proposal in order for the Commission to fully understand the breakdown of each item/category.
