Acres: ~34.78

Acquired: In 1986, the Town of Bolton purchased the land beginning the core area of Gould White. Since, the town has acquired multiple trail easements across private property to memorialize existing trail and cart path access.

Features: The mixed upland forest features a large vernal pool surrounded by varying terrain. Ledge outcrops lie in the center. Mature trees grow side by side with young stands of sweet birch. Signs of coyotes, deer, grouse, and woodpeckers speckle the landscape. Two trail easements, donated to the town by H. Mitchell Gould, run to the pond. There are trail easements across private property. Please be respectful and stay on trails.

Access: Parking is located along Randall Road. There are two trail heads with minimal parking along the northwest side of Randall road.

Regulations for Use of Conservation Land

It is the intent and policy of the Conservation Commission that conservation land be maintained in a natural state. Some areas where appropriate the commission establishes trails to allow for passive recreational use. Any alteration to a Conservation property or trail by persons other than the Commission's authorized agents shall require the prior written permission of the Commission. The Conservation Land Rules and Regulations shall be adhered to at all times. The parcel is conveyed subject to a restriction of usage for “conservation purposes only”…

As a means of illustration, and not limitation, the following uses are perpetually restricted:

Paving, structures, excavation, motorized vehicles, lighting, and commercial logging.

The Grantee, its successors and assigns agree to install, erect and maintain three (3) signs to restrict access to the land of the grantor as shown on Lot A-2 from Parcel A-1 on the referenced plan in the deed.

The Grantor shall reserve all right in the cart paths as shown on Lot A-2. No rights of way, access or passage are granted to the grantee in the cart paths as shown on Lot A-2. The Grantor reserves no rights in the cart paths as shown as Parcel A-1.

The Grantee its successors and assigns agree to install, erect and maintain access area signage.
