Zoom Remote Access Meeting

Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, this public meeting of the Town of Conservation Commission is being conducted via remote participation. No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but the public can access this meeting while in progress by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Zoom). Members of the public attending this meeting virtually will be allowed to make comments if they wish to do so, during the portion of the hearing designated for public comment, by telephone, cell phone or personal computer using Zoom.

Guidelines for Participants

  • Utilize chat or raise hand function to address the Board.
  • Remain on mute until you have been addressed by the Board Chair.
  • Participants are required to display first and last names.

1. 7:00 pm- 7:05 pm Request for Determination of Applicability – 45 Wheeler Road – proposed pool

2. 7:05 pm- 7:15 pm Continued Notice of Intent - Long Hill Road, 4.D - 60 – new single-family home, gravel driveway, associated grading, well and septic system

3. 7:15 pm-7:30 pm Request for Determination of Applicability – Pondside Drive – replace existing leach field

5. 7:30pm – 7:45pm Historical Commission requesting to install a bronze plaque on the entrance of Fyfeshire Dam Conservation Area right stone column

6. 7:45 pm – 8:15 pm Other Business

  • Vote on acceptance of Myles Conservation Restriction/Land Donation
  • Update on DCAMM repair of earthen dam
  • Update on Taggart Acquisition project (Article 23 for Town Meeting)
  • Update on 175 Fox Run Enforcement Order/Restoration Plan
  • Review/Approve Minutes from 5/05/2020
  • Updates on MVP program
  • Volunteer Land steward position – applications welcome
  • Property maintenance and management:

             -Events at Bower Springs 

             -Repair of duck boards along Lime Kiln Trail at Rattlesnake Conservation Area

             -Removal of vegetation along historic structure walls including Philo Clapp Pump Log Mill Foundation and entrance to welch pond stone foundation

             -Violations – mining at quarries on conservation properties
