Zoom Remote Access Meeting

Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, this public meeting of the Town of Bolton Select Board is being conducted via remote participation. No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but the public can access this meeting while in progress by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Zoom).

Guidelines for Participants

  • Utilize raise hand function to address the Board. (Alt-Y)
  • Remain on mute until you have been addressed by the Board Chair.
  • Participants are required to state or display first and last name prior to addressing the Board.

Event Requests:

  • Request by American Cancer Society to hold 2021 Bicycles Battling Cancer ride to come through Bolton on Saturday, September 25th,  2021.  (Mark Walter)
  • Request by Bikes Not Bombs to use Bolton roads as part of  34th Annual Bike-a-Thon set for Sunday, September 12, 2021. (Angela Phinney)

Request from Bolton Access Television for the release of Quarter 2 funds in the amount of $25,073.25.

Lawn signs:

  • Request from The Bolton Community Fund for approval of lawn signs for 5K to be held on October 8, 2021 and review of revised route. (Lisa Shepple & Mary Jo White)
  • Request from Bolton Harvard Open Studios to put out signs two weeks in advance of their event scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd, 2021 (Ann Gillespie)

Request from Fire/EMT Department to maintain a second ambulance after the delivery of new ambulance. (Chief Legendre)

Executive session pursuant to MGL c. 30A, Section 21 (a) for purpose 2 & 3

  • to conduct collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with nonunion personnel (Town Administrator).
  • to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining for the
    •  Teamster’s Union, Local No. 170
    • The Bolton Police Union, Local 286, IUPA, AFL-CIO

as the Chair finds that an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the Board’s bargaining position. 

  • To review and approve executive session minutes of June 3rd, 2021.

The Board will return to open session for the purpose of adjournment only.
