Discussion on Babe Ruth baseball diamond at Memorial Field

There was a scout project done on the field last Fall but still needs more work. Ron used this diamond for men’s pickup games this season. With all this rain there’s puddles on 2nd base and home plate. Ron purchased puddle pump to remove water. BYBB feels they need more dirt and along with more quick dry. FSS uses field in Spring. We could use help from NRSD with field. We will plan to meet with NE Eagles, BYBB and NRSD to arrange a schedule & plan with maintenance on this field.

Project Request for 911 Memorial Rock Garden proposed by Madison Oxnard to be placed at the Town Common flag pole at the pergola. To be placed for the month of September.

Request approval to place 2 Bolton Community Fund signs at the Town Common for 5K event held on October 7th.   2x5ft signs, have placed them there in the past few years.

Discussion on Summer Fun Day event at Camp Resolute.  It was a very successful event. The weather was perfect. We had about 30 families, mostly with younger children. We owed Camp Resolute $600 for life quards which is about the same amount we made with no extra funds available.

Discussion on holding our Summer programs at Camp Resolute for the future starting next Summer.

At the moment, they want $25/child/day which we can’t afford without raising the price too much for the programs.  We do need to be there with the dining hall shelter because of all the rain we had this past Summer.  We will try to negotiate with Resolute for a little better pricing.

Discussion/vote on P&R joining Mass Rec & park Assoc (MRPA)

For up to 6 members of P&R the cost is $450 per year.  The value of getting advice from other towns was a very clear reason to join.

Start planning Halloween Parade –

We discussed having it either Sat October 28th or Sun October 29th. Since a few members aren’t available on the 28th we decided to have it on Sunday, October 29th @ 2:30pm.  This will be held rain or shine.
