Are you a registered voter? Is your registration up to date (have you recently moved, turned 18, or changed your name)? Many elgible voters find themselves unable to vote in elections because they missed a deadline, weren't sure how to register, or didn't update their registration in time.

In Bolton, there is help!  Tuesday, September 24 is National Voter Registration Day.  The Bolton Public Library, in partnership with the Town Clerk's Office, will be set up to accept voter registration forms all day (10 a.m. until 8 p.m.).

Registering to vote is easy: just stop by, fill out the form, and return it to a staff member who will secure it.  At the end of the day on Tuesday, we'll convey all completed forms to the Town Clerk's Office for processing.

If you don't have time to fill out the form while you're at the library, you'll find a supply of of pre-addressed forms. Take one with you, fill it out, apply postage, and drop it in the mail.  The friendly staff at the Town Clerk's Office will do the rest.

If you'll be out of town on Tuesday 9/24, you can find similar events here: https://nationalvoterregistrationday.org/events/

Why register in 2019, you may ask? Because between the House, the Senate and governor races across the country, voters have the opportunity to decide the fate of over 500 elected officials. As a nonpartisan coalition of organizations, National Voter Registration Day is the perfect opportunity to get involved no matter what party you support or which issues matter most to you.  Last year over 800,000 people in all 50 states participated in National Voter Registration Day.  The Town of Bolton is proud to be part of this national effort to register voters!
