Typical of fall in New England, weather has been a challenge over the past two weeks. However, we remain confident that the lion’s-share of the work slated for this fall will soon be complete. The following information hopes to give everybody a better understanding of what to expect.

Week Ahead Project Schedule (Updated 11/20/2019)

Wattaquadock Hill Road

  • Existing driveways at #714 Main (Watt. side only), #8, #12, Cracker Barrell parking lot, Olde Fire House, entry to Memorial, and one of the two Trinity Church driveways on Wattaquadock Hill Road will be stripped of pavement beginning on Wednesday, November, 20th.
  • Gravel in these driveways will be graded and kept passible to all users.
  • These driveways will be formed for concrete on Thursday, November 21st.
  • Concrete will be poured in these driveways on Friday, November 22nd.

Users of these driveways will not be able to cross the concrete until sometime on Wednesday November 27th.

BPD will allow on-street overnight parking for this work. Parking in the Common lot, and Houghton lot will also be allowed.

We will carefully watch the weather patterns before any other driveway work is undertaken before the Thanksgiving Holiday. Separate notice will be delivered to those homes where driveway work is next planned.

Main Street

  • Curbing 99% complete. Remaining curb only at utility pole locations.
  • Gravel box, behind curbing, under new sidewalk, 100% complete. All areas safe and passable by foot traffic until sidewalk contractor arrives and completes work.
  • Sidewalk contractor will pour the final portions of sidewalk on 11/21.
  • All conduit crossings beneath the roadways will be complete and pavement will be patched by Friday, November 22nd.

We will carefully watch the weather patterns before any driveway work along Main Street is undertaken. Separate notice will be delivered to those homes where driveway work is next planned.
