Library Board of Trustees seeks a volunteer to fill the balance of a vacated term

Due to the resignation of one Library Trustee, the two remaining members of the Board are seeking someone to fill the final year of a three-year term, and ultimately to consider running for office in the Town’s 2024 elections.

The Board of Library Trustees oversees the Bolton Public Library building and grounds, meets monthly (more often if needed) to manage the department and its finances, sets policies and goals, interacts with other Town departments, positions the Library to meet MA certification standards for public libraries, and advocates for the annual budget request.

A good candidate for this position will possess knowledge of the community and library, experience in business, finance, and/or government, and strong advocacy skills.

If you are qualified for and interested in serving for one year (or possibly longer) starting in June 2023, please send a brief statement of application to Bolton Public Library, P.O. Box 188, Bolton MA 01740  ATTN: Board of Trustees, or an email to kcollins@cwmars.org with ATTN: Board of Trustees in the subject line.

Applications received by close of business on Friday 5/19/2023 will receive first consideration.
