Construction along Main Street & Wattaquadock Hill Road

MassWORKS Project

Construction of the MassWORKS Project along Main Street and Wattaquadock Hill Road has started.

  • National Grid began preemptive utility work on September 17th. Utility poles are being relocated at the intersection of Main Street and Wattaquadock Hill Road.
  • Heavy construction will begin on September 23rd and be in full swing on September 30th. Construction will take place Monday-Friday between 7:00AM and 3:30PM. Construction will continue through the entire Fall season until winter weather sets in. The roads will be kept safe and Police details will direct traffic to keep it moving. The road will seldom be closed. However, some level of traffic disruption is likely to result in delays during peak commute hours. Folks ought to avoid Main Street and Wattaquadock Hill Road, particularly during peak commuting hours. If avoiding these streets is impossible, then considerable delays should be expected.
