Bolton Cultural Council Meeting Minutes

Co-chairs:  Chris Sterling, Margot Brody

Members: Maureen Strapko, Pat Bensetler, Clare Moses, Tim Fiehler,Nicole Thomas, Jem Mix

Prior to the meeting, Town Clerk Pam Powell swore in returning members Pat Bensetler and Maureen Strapko, and new members Clare Moses and Jem Mix.

Agenda Items

• Chris called the meeting to order.
• Chris announced that she and Margot had agreed to serve as co-chairs.
• The responsibilities and calendar of the Cultural Council were explained and members were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Mass Cultural Council website.
• Clare volunteered to serve as secretary, with the stipulation that the position will be rotated to another member after one year.
• The next meeting, to discuss grant applications, was scheduled for November 14 at 7:00. November 21 will also be reserved in case a second night is needed to discuss all grants.

Action Items:

• Members should check the BCC mailbox when they are in Town Hall.
• Members should take the online Cultural Council Course and familiarize themselves with the website, if they haven’t already.
• Members should familiarize themselves with Ethics and Conflict of Interest guidelines related to serving on this council, if they haven’t already.
