In the Library Gallery now: Lyn Slade

The Bolton Public Library's latest gallery show is by Lyn Slade of Bolton.  On display are sketchbooks and finished pieces from Lyn's Artist in Residence experience at Acadia National Park in spring 2018.    The show is a glimpse into the artists's process and includes sketches, notes, snapshots, maps, and finished pieces in needle felting, collage, photography, and/or paint and pastels.

"Being there pre-season, Lyn was nearly alone in Schoodic Point, the northern part of Acadia.  With very few visitors in the park, the requirement to provide art programming was waived and the residence morphed into a month of time alone to be inspired by Acadia's overwhelming beauty, and to recharge."

The show is free to peruse during the library's open hours, though programs in the space may preclude viewing at certain times.  A reception for Lyn will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  All are welcome.
