Bolton Public Library update
Posted on: July 21, 2020 - 12:25pm
The staff and Trustees of the Bolton Public Library wish to thank residents for their patience, cooperation, and enthusiastic use of our contactless pickup service. We have a couple of positive developments to report:
- Statewide interlibrary delivery is back up and running, though still not at its pre-pandemic pace. You can expect delays, but know that things are moving again.
- In addition to requesting items from Bolton's library, you may now place requests for items owned by all C/WMARS networked libraries.
- When your item(s) arrive, they will be quarantined for 72 hours per CDC guidelines.
- When your item(s) are checked in here, you will receive an e-mail or text notification of their availability for pickup.
- *No appointment is needed for pickup!!* (This is a big change.) Starting at noon on the day you receive your notice, you may come to the Library entry to pick up your item(s).
- Your items will be available for pickup for 7 days, after which they will be returned to the owning library.
- Your item(s) will be wrapped to protect your privacy, and they will already be checked out to you.
- Your package will be identifiable by your initials and house number.
- As always, anyone picking up at the Library is urged to wear a face covering while indoors and to observe distancing. We recommend that one person be in the entry at a time, and that others wait their turn outside.
- The entry will be open for pickups on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 AM-6 PM, and Friday 10-5. The entry will be closed Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
