Zoom Remote Access Meeting

Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place, this public meeting of the Town of Bolton Board  of Selectmen is being conducted via remote participation. No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but the public can access this meeting while in progress by Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (Zoom). Members of the public attending this meeting virtually will be allowed to make comments if they wish to do so, during the portion of the hearing designated for public comment, by telephone, cell phone or personal computer using Zoom.

Executive session in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30A, Section 21 (a), Purpose 6, to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, the Taggart land off of Forbush Mill Road, if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Board and the chair so declares. Board will return to open session.

Establish norms for Remote Access Participation.

7:10 pm – 7:15pm

Request from the American Cancer Society to hold annual Bicycles Battling Cancer ride which takes place this year on Sunday, June 14, 2020. (Mark Walters)

Review and possible vote on Taggart Article in ATM Warrant. (Advisory Committee)

Town Administrator Report

  • MassWORKS Update
  • Coronavirus (COVID-19) update.
  • Review and Vote on Covid-19 personnel policy.
  • Discussion and Possible vote to designate Town Administrator to sign Bill/Payroll warrants during the state of emergency declared by the governor pursuant to executive order 591, Declaration of a State of Emergency to Respond to COVID-19.

  • Discussion and possible vote to delay Town Annual Election
  • Annual Town Meeting
    • Discussion and possible vote on remaining ATM Warrant articles.

    • Discussion and possible vote on the rescheduling of Annual Town Meeting.
    • Vote to sign and execute the ATM Warrant.
  • Discussion and possible vote on declaration of a local state of emergency.
  • Discussion and possible vote to authorize remote participation.
  • Approve Bills/Payroll warrants:  W20-20 & W20-20A.
  • Minutes.
