The Town of Bolton operates a transfer station to receive and dispose of refuse delivered by town residents. Refuse consists of household trash bags and recyclable items. The site operates on a partial schedule and charges nominal fees for various types of refuse and recyclables. Residents are responsible for all delivery and payment of all items. TRASH
The Transfer Station accepts resident household trash in 30 or 15 gallon trash bags
with stickers attached and free of recyclables.
Trash stickers are available at Town Hall and the Transfer Station.
FEE INCREASE - JULY 1, 2009
Trash Sticker Fees (effective 7/1/09):
$1.25 for each 15 gallon trash bag
$2.50 for each 30 gallon trash bag
Stickers are sold in minimum blocks of 10.
FREE STICKERS FOR BOLTON SENIORS
Bolton residents age 61 and older can receive 40 free trash stickers per year.
Stickers may be picked up at the
Town Secretary's office at Town Hall.
RECYCLING
Recycling is mandatory in the Town of Bolton. Please click on "Accepted Items and Fees" to
see the cost of recycling various items.
COMPOST BINS
Compost Bins are available for purchase at the Transfer Station.
Cost per bin is $30.00 for Bolton residents and $40.00 for non-residents.
Stickers must be paid for by check only and checks must be made payable to the Town of Bolton.
