To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into a lease agreement and sign any necessary contracts for the lease of certain Town-owned land located on Forbush Mill Road adjacent to the Transfer Station, as shown on the Assessor’s Map as parcel 5A-19, being a portion of property transferred by deed recorded in the Worcester Registry of Deeds Plan Book 21953, page 332, for the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of a wireless communication tower and accessory equipment, under such terms and conditions as the Board deems in the
best interest of the Town; or do or act relating thereto.

Summary: The Board of Selectmen authorized the release of a Request for Proposals for the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of a wireless communication tower and accessory equipment on municipal land abutting the Transfer Station. The purpose of this cell tower would be to generate additional revenue for the town, and to improve cellular communication for both the public safety departments and the public as well.
