Sign Changes - from Yield to Stop

This is a notification that the installment of Stop signs at the following 6 intersections will be in place by the end of June:
- on Ballville at Wilder
- on Danforth Lane at Hudson
- on Frye at Berlin
- on Jordan at Berlin
- on Meadow at Long Hill
- on Sargent at Wattaquadock Hill
Replacing Yield to Stop signs at these intersections were recommended by the Public Ways Safety Committee to the Board of Selectmen based on accident data, poor sight lines, traffic volumes, and high speeds on the main roads. The changes were approved by the Board of Selectmen at their May 12, 2016 meeting. To reinforce the new signs, the street surface will be painted with the word “Stop” to alert drivers.
