The Board of Selectmen met at the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.

 

Present:  Bob Czekanski, Connie Benjamin and Brad Cote, Advisory Committee members

 

17th ANNUAL RIDE TO END ALZHEIMER’S CHARITY BICYCLE EVENT
Ms. Bachrach, Route Director for the Alzheimer’s Association requested permission to hold the 17th Annual Ride to End Alzheimer’s Charity Event on July 13th, 2013.  Riders will leave Devens and enter Bolton from Harvard Road.  Cyclists will travel Harvard Road, cross Main Street to Manor Road, onto Wattaquadock Hill Road and exit Bolton on Berlin Road.  Ms. Bachrach stated that signs will be placed along the route on Friday afternoon and taken down immediately following the ride.  Chief Alfano has approved this event.  

 

On a motion made Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the charity ride.  (Lindsay – yes, Wysocki – yes)  

 

BOLTON YOUTH BASEBALL’S OPENING DAY
Lisa Shepple requested permission to hold the Bolton Youth Baseball’s opening day parade on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.  The parade will start on Mechanic Street; continue on to Main Street to Wattaquadock Hill Road to Memorial field.  Approximately 200 to 300 people are expected to participate. Chief Alfano has approved the event.

 

On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve the request. (Lindsay – yes, Wysocki – yes)

 

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT
Article 3:  Fiscal Year 2014 Operating Budget:  On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen voted to approve this article.  (Lindsay – yes, Wysocki – yes)

 

On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen voted to close and execute the warrant for the Annual Town Meeting on May 6, 2013.  (Lindsay – yes, Wysocki – yes)

 

The Board of Selectmen thanked everyone for their efforts in preparing and finalizing the Annual Town Meeting warrant.

 

TOWN ADMINISTRATOR REPORT
Syncarpha documents:  On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen voted to authorize Mr. Lowe, Town Administrator to execute the Assignment and Assumption, and the Estoppel documents for the Amended and Restated Property Tax Agreement for release no sooner than April 4, 2013.  (Lindsay – yes, Wysocki –yes)

 

WARRANT FOR 2013 US SENATE SPECIAL STATE PRIMARIES
The Board of Selectmen executed the Warrant for the 2013 US Senate Special State Primaries to be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nashoba Regional High School Auditorium.  

 

BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S ANNUAL REPORT
Proposed revisions to the Board of Selectmen’s Annual Report will be reviewed with Mr. Delaney, who was not present for this evening’s meeting.

 

DEEPEST SYMPATHY
The Board of Selectmen expressed their deepest sympathy to the family of Rob Held who passed away suddenly.  Mr. Held will be missed dearly by family and friends.

 

On a motion made by Wysocki and seconded by Lindsay, the Board of Selectmen adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
