The Board of Selectmen met at the Town Hall at 7:00 a.m.

 

The Board of Selectmen met to discuss to setting priorities for the Town for 2004 through 2009.  Mr. Heaton proposed 5 priorities.  After discussion the Board of Selectmen agreed as follows:

 

Priority #1 – Renovation of the remainder of Emerson School
Priority #2 – Construction of a new Police Station
Priority #3 – Expansion of the existing Library
Priority #4 – Once in a lifetime strategic opportunities.

 

Mr. Heaton will draft a memo of the priorities for discussion at the next Board of Selectmen’s Meeting on September 30, 2004.

 

MA SELF-HELP PROGRAM FOR CONSERVATION LAND ACQUISTION PROJECTS
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to authorize Carol Gumbart, Administrative Assistant for the Bolton Conservation Commission to be the official representative of the community in connection with the Massachusetts Self-Help Program for Conservation Land Acquisition Projects.

 

TRINITY CHURCH BANNER
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to approve the request of Trinity Church for a banner to be hung over Route 117 for a community wide event beginning October 9th called the 40 Days of Purpose.

 

LIBRARY REQUEST FOR USE OF TOWN HALL
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to approve the Library’s request to use Town Hall on Saturday, October 30, 2004 from 12:30-3:00 p.m.
