Events

  • Annual Halloween Parade and Party - Planned and hosted by Bolton Loco and the Bolton Park and the Recreation Commission and is the Town’s largest community event. The parade starts at Bolton’s Memorial Field and runs down Main Street to Mechanic and ends at Emerson School, where Trick-or-Treat Lane begins. Trick-or-Treat Lane is a series of stations where different local businesses, groups and volunteers hand out candy or toys to the kids. The event is followed by a Halloween party at the Emerson School gym where we serve refreshments and announce the winners of several best costume categories.
  • Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Party – Bolton Loco and the Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission. The event starts with the grand entrance of the Easter Bunny where kids can greet the guest of honor. The group offers treats and activities to enjoy while children have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny at the Emerson School gym. Promptly at 11:00 a.m. children begin the Easter Egg hunt and seek the one Golden Ticket among the thousands of eggs hidden in the woods and playground at Emerson. The lucky child who finds the Golden Ticket wins a giant chocolate bunny! The event concludes with a walk to Pond Park where the kid finally wave goodbye to the Easter Bunny.
