Sessions Still Open!

If you were unable to attend the Yoga Registration, please know there are still openings available during the summer sessions.  Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Commission, with Kathy Breen, have created “Flex Passes” to help better accommodate people’s summer schedules.  The sessions are open to residents of Bolton as well as residents from surrounding towns.

The three session options and associated costs are as follows:

10 Class Pass for $145*

6 Class Pass for $80*

3 Class Pass for $50 *

* Friends of Bolton Seniors will pay up to $2 per class, equaling $12 per session for Bolton-based seniors.

If you would like to register for any of the open sessions, please:
  • Email parks@townofbolton.com  and include the Session Number, Flex Pass Option and your Name.
  • Drop off or mail your waiver, registration form and check (made payable to Kathy Breen) to Linda Day, town secretary, at the Bolton Town Hall.

Session Information
The Yoga programs offered by the Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission are appropriate for all ability levels.  Kathy Breen will provide pose alternatives for those needing more or less advanced movements.  From teens to active seniors, the sessions will provide the needed personal attention to help ensure a successful and beneficial experience.   The updated summer schedule is as follows:

Things to Know
  • For easy movement, wear clothing that is loose and comfortable.
  • Try to avoid eating (except for a light snack if you need it) for 2 hours before a class.  Otherwise you may feel tired and heavy during the session.
  • Try and be punctual to classes; the poses are done in sequence for a reason.  As such, please try to arrive 5 minutes prior to the session beginning.
  • Be sure to tell your yoga instructor before the class if you are ill or injured; they can tell you how to alter the poses to avoid making things worse.
  • Be wary of the difference between feeling sensations or resistance and feeling pain; you should not feel pain while doing yoga, and if you do it could mean you aren't doing something right or need to adjust a pose to suit you better.
