Persons Park Project
Dr. Duncan W. Persons donated his cottage and property, now known as Persons Park, to the Town of Bolton on June 10, 1996 for recreational purposes. During the past 14 years the cottage and property have had not been used to its full potential. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the cottage falling into disrepair and thus becoming unsafe for public use.
It is the goal of the current Parks and Recreation Commission to work with other interested commissions, departments and volunteers to restore and upgrade the cottage and improve the land to make Persons Park a more viable recreational facility and property for the Town of Bolton.
Persons Park is a beautiful 5.5 acre property opposite the Town Beach with a 1918-era cottage high-atop a hill offering a one-of-a-kind view of the pond. Persons Park is Bolton’s only town-owned access to Little Pond. The Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission is currently drafting a plan and schedule of work to be completed on the Persons Park project. People interested in volunteering on the renovation project, please email: parks@townofbolton.com. Please highlight any trade skills that may be of use for this project.
