Board of Health's Water Usage Recommendations
The latest Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs information is posted on the Board of Health Web Page. It contains information on the drought as well as advice on water conservation. As of this date the Board of Health knows of only five well failures. These wells were all well points or shallow wells drawing from the ground water aquifer. The drilled wells drawing from the deep rock aquifer appear to be functioning. The Board of Health strongly recommends the elimination of outdoor watering as recommended by the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
