Fyfeshire Dam Meeting
The Bolton Conservation Commission invites interested in persons to attend a meeting on March 2, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bolton Town Hall to discuss the results of a recently completed Feasibility Study on the Fyfeshire Dam. The Town was ordered by the Massachusetts Office of Dam Safety to complete this study as a result of a determination that the dam is in poor condition. The Office of Dam Safety categorized it as a Significant Hazard Dam. The study has identified alternatives for the town to consider. The alternatives generally fall into two categories: (1) to repair the dam and (2) to remove the dam. The Conservation Commission is seeking your input as they advance toward a solution.
