Get Warm with a Chili Cook Off and Skating Party!
Given the overwhelming response to the skating pond opening day, we thought we’d do it again before the ice melts away. So, on Fat Tuesday, February 16, 2010 the Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission will host a skating party and chili cook off at Pond Park from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
For those who would like to enter the contest, please email the Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission at parks@townofbolton.com no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15. The Commission will respond with all necessary participation details.
A donation of $5.oo will give attendees the opportunity to sample all of the chili entries and cast a vote for the winner. A cash prize will be awarded to first and second place winners (payout to be determined by participation). Fire Chief John Stephenson will be on hand in the event of very hot chili, but also to award the winners.
The Bolton Parks and Recreation Commission will provide a grill and everyone is welcome to bring their own picnic to the event. Complementary hot chocolate will be provided as well.
