Walk Bolton’s Downtown
What is happening in “downtown” Bolton? And where is downtown Bolton anyway? On Saturday May 17th, the Bolton Conservation Commission will lead a walk behind Town Hall into the Powderhouse Hill Conservation Area to discover the woodlands in our lovely town center. On this hike you will explore both nature and history. After hiking the trails and the Town House Road, participants are invited to use the sidewalk on Main Street to view the historic homes downtown. The Historical Commission will provide a summary about the houses in the National Register Historic District. The tour will end with refreshments at the Sawyer House which will be open for viewing and conversation with the Historical Society volunteers.
Meet in the parking lot behind Town Hall at 2:00 p.m. and wear shoes suitable for hiking or walking. All ages welcome. The walk will last between 1 to 1.5 hours.
