The Advisory Committee met at the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. to attend the Board of Selectmen’s meeting.
BUDGETS
The Advisory Committee voted to level funded their budgets for FY08 as follows:
131 Advisory Committee: 5400 Supplies $25; 5730 Dues $165.00
132 Reserve fund: 5790 $125,000
GOALS
The Advisory Committee voted to approve and submit there goals for 2007 as follows:
1.~~~~~ Communicate opinions and recommendations clearly and concisely at Town Meeting.
2. ~~~~ Assure that, whenever possible, Advisory Committee recommendations are made in time to be included on the Town Meeting warrant.
3. ~~~~ Provide timely feedback regarding Advisory Committee issues and concerns with proposals and plans of Town boards and committees.
4.~~~~~ Work pro-actively with sponsors of articles to encourage proposals which will maximize the likelihood that the Advisory Committee will be able to recommend approval of the article at Town Meeting.
5.~~~~~ Strike a balance between the need for residents to consider both sides of important issues and the desire to reach committee consensus on proposed articles and budgets.
